The fleet management department is responsible for the management of our fleet operations and takes care
of the following activities
- Efficient manning of our vessels with skilled and experienced sea-staff
- Long term strategic planning and pooling arrangements
- Upholding of charterer’s requirements
- Promote & reward deserving candidates
- Organised embarkation & disembarkation of seafarers
- Staff welfare and ensure close interaction between sea and shore staff
- Arranging for immigration clearance for vessel’s visiting Singapore
- Liaise with local labour unions and authorities

Performance Management
We have an established methodologies laid down to maintain the quality of our staff. This begins with a very streamlined recruitment process for our staff, followed by a well conceptualized performance appraisal system with continuous feedback in the form of shore and onboard evaluations.

Our name is well respected in the Maritime Industry, and the seafaring communities see us as a quality employer with long term employment and career prospects. Seastaff Welfare
Our sea-staff’s welfare is the primary consideration for us.
In order to maintain a work-life balance while onboard , we have taken numerous welfare
initiatives which include but not limited to
Luxurious onboard accommodation for staff
Numerous monthly and weekly Magazines
Gymnasium for physical fitness
Daily news to vessel from service provider
All staff are provided with a personal email id for correspondence
Company sponsored flight ticket for family members to sail onboard
To improve the physical wellbeing of our staff, we have formulated the EWWP
(Employee Workplace Wellness Program) which looks into the physical as well as
nutritional aspects of service on board. It provides steps towards maintaining a healthier
lifestyle while on board, while providing regular guidance to the staff.

Family Welfare
Numerous initiatives have been undertaken for promoting closer co-operation between not only the seastaff but also their families. As a part of our continuous drive to improve staff welfare, we have established the Family cells in our offices in Singapore, India and Philippines. The family cell consists of staff in the Personnel department with added responsibilities as required by this initiative.
The family cells have the following responsibilities:
- Assisting the family of our sea staff while the staff is onboard (upon request)
- Assisting in the family joining vessel (for officer’s families as eligible)
- Following up with the family of the ratings on receipt of their monthly allotment
- Arranging for family functions and events during Officers’ seminars
- Assist in communication between the sea staff and his / her family
- Inviting write-in of articles and news coverage of important family events for our sea staff (marriage, 25th marriage anniversary, children’s achievements etc.) in our in-house magazine
- Assisting through our travel agents on the sea staff vacation plans as requested
- Any request for financial assistance in emergency, or any other emergency where assistance is required.
We believe that the concept of Family Cell is a step further in the direction of caring for our employees.

Staff Feedback
As a key tool towards improvement of our operations, we strongly believe in an open two way communication model. To keep the channels of communication open, we engage in the following activities
- Staff forums
- Fleet wide surveys
- Frequent calls to vessels
- Meetings with officers during courses and seminars
- Annual Office & Vessel visits
- Feedback received from FQMs (Fleet Quality Managers)
